Who we are

Walden Community Action for Refugees (“WCAR”) is not a legal entity and is the name of the campaign. Legally, WCAR operates under the umbrella of Caritas Brentford, which is itself part of the Brentwood Roman Catholic Diocesan Trust (charity number 234092).

If you choose to donate to WCAR, our donations page directs you to a Caritas Brentford web page that takes your payment details. We only keep your payment card information for the purposes of processing the transaction. We do retain the name and contact details of the person donating and the amount they have donated for our records.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your data with any third parties outside WCAR or Caritas Brentwood.

How long we retain your data

We will retain data relating to individuals who make donations for six years.

What rights you have over your data

You can request details of what personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
